Transfer information for persons and families between FamilySearch and your local GEDCOM database (and vice versa).
Transfer facts, sources, notes and media for persons.
Transfer facts, sources and notes for families.

The transfer button is    which can be seen when editing persons or families.

Transferring person information

Use    (you will be prompted to import the person if they don't exist in the local database)

The local GEDCOM person is on the left.
The FamilySearch person is on the right

In the above example,
The FamilySearch person has a death entry (which we can add to GEDCOM)
The local person has a source attached (which we can add to FamilySearch)

To move the death information to the local database, expand the section and use   
The dialog shows the information which will be added to the local GEDCOM database


Copy the death Information to local GEDCOM database

Click to complete the transaction.
After the transfer we can see the death information in the local GEDCOM database

View the change in the GEDCOM ⟶ Change Log ...

The change log shows the information added to GEDCOM

To add the GEDCOM source to FamilySearch use   
The FamilySearch source information is populated from the GEDCOM source.

Select to add the source to FamilySearch.

The new source is added to FamilySearch. View the change history using   

Change history shows the addition of the source to FamilySearch.

Transferring Media

We can transfer media between FamilySearch and GEDCOM (and vice versa)
The transfer dialog is launched from   .

Transferring Marriage data

Marriage data is associated with Families (not people)
Double Click on the family to view the family
