Amy presenting  The Media directory is a central location under the current Augean project for storing media.  •   Copying files to the Media directory protects against broken links to external files.  •   Files in the media directory can be included in backups using File ⟶ Backup  •   Safe guard your media, by copying it to the media directory.  To view the MEDIA DIRECTORY click on Help ⟶ About There is a link to view the Media Directory, which is the central location for storing media in the current Augean project.  When adding media, use Copy to Media Directory. The media will be copied to the Media Directory  The report Reports ⟶ Media Report generates a report of files outside the media directory. Copy Files to Media Directory copies files to the Media directory and updates the GEDCOM with new location  File ⟶ Backup can backup the contents of the Media directory The backup .zip archive contains both the GEDCOM file and the media from the media directory  Adding the File column to the media table using Right Click ⟶ Change Displayed Columns The File column shows the path of each media file (in this case they are inside the MEDIA_DIRECTORY   The media directory, helps prevent broken links.   The media directory allows for easy backups.   The media directory allows projects to be moved easily between computers.
